Folks,
I have made my research, and came up with the components listed below, if there are any problems, please let me know before I place my order online.
1) CPU: Intel Core 2 Duo E6600 2.4 GHz (1066MHz) 4MB L2 CacheSocket 775
2) MB : Asus P5B 775 Intel 965 Express + ICH8 Chipset Dual-Channel DDR2 533/667/800 Gigabit Lan PCI-Express x16 Graphics 4xSATAII
3) RAM: Kingston ValueRAM DDR2-667 1GB PC5300 (KVR667D2N5/1G) (Here I am actually wondering, should I get 2x512mb or 1x1GB, I mean, is there any difference in performance?)
4) V. Card: EVGA Geforce 7800GTX 256MB PCI-Express
Are these components going to bring me best performance for Windows Vista and during games like Age-of-Empires III?
It's going to be my first time to build a computer from scratch,
I need to ask few questions to clarify few things, my current computer has a seperate Card for Audio, Ethernet Port, Extra USB (did not come with my Asus P4B Motherboard) So..
-The Eithernet port needed to connect to the internet, do I have to buy it or is the "Realtek PCI-E Gigabit LAN controller" listed with the motherboard does the Job? I know that I am paying for a specefic speed of internet to my service provider, but will this integrated card deliver the full performance of my internet provider, or will it cut it low?
-The mother board claims that it has a High Def. Audio, so no need to purchase Audio Drive Card, right?
