When I start up my computer I get a blue error screen saying exactly this...

"*** STOP : 0x0000007B (0x853AD030 , 0xC0000032 , 0x00000000 ,
0x00000000)
INACCESSIBLE_BOOT_DEVICE

If this is the first time you've seen this Stop error screen, restart your computer. If this screen appears again, follow these steps:

Check for viruses on your computer. Remove any newly installed hard drives or hard drive controllers. Check your hard drive to make sure it is properly configured and terminated. Run CHKDSK /F to check for hard drive corruption, and then restart your computer.

Refer to your Getting Started Manual for more information on troubleshooting Stop errors."

This happend right after accidentally unpluggin my computer from the power. I forget if the computer was on or not, but I think it was on. Anyways, I tried restaring but nothing, and to shut it down after I have to use the power switch on the back of the tower. I have Windows 2000 Pro.
Please Help

Thanks

Have you done as it says? CHKDSK, perhaps try to boot to safe mode and run some scans? Typically this kind of error relates to hardware rather than software, but best to start with the basics. If you can't get to safe mode, or maybe run some tests from a diagnostic disk, then it might be a failing hard drive...

when I try boot in safe mode the same thing happens. I cant get to my desktop so I cant run CHKDSK /F. Also I havent recently installed any hard drives or hard drive controllers. A few weeks ago I had a problem that when I started up my computer it would only get to the "Intel Inside" screen. Others said that that also could have been a problem with my hard drive, but after a couple days it fixed its self and that problem was gone.

If it locked up at the bios, it's probably a failing hard drive...could be a failing motherboard, but that's typically not the case. Find what brand of drive you have and try to download some diagnostic software from that website. Run a few tests and see what comes up.

You'll have to open the computer, or sometimes it'll say in the bios. As for the diagnostic software, it's typically a file that creates a bootable disk, or an ISO for a bootable CD.

I got this when an old motherboard went on me. But it would start up though. Give me about 5 min. into windows and then bluescreen on me, figured out it was the mobo, it was an old compaq running an 700mhz duron, forget mobo model #.

My Hard Drive is a Western Digital. Model WD800. I went to thier site and had torubles finding the diagnostic program. Can someone please link me to where I can download it and tell me what to do from there? I would greatly apreciate it.
