So anyway, lately I have been noticing that my disk drive is making funny noises. However I really can't be sure these noises aren't normal. This alone really doesn't bother me, it's the fact that it doesn't always read or writed disks that is the problem. It used to burn things fine, but now there is always an error when I am (95% through the process of burning). In addition If I stick a disk in the drive about 80% of the time it won't pick up that there is a disk in it.
When right-click and select the properties tab and then from their I go to the hardware tab, it says that, "this device is working properly."
My drive is a TSSTcorp CDRW/DVD TSL462C. It says that the manufacturer is
Standard CD-ROM Drives.
I'm really hoping there is a way to fix this without spending money, as I am just a poor highschool student, who barely has enough money to spend on gas, so any help and ideas would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.
