Help With Onboard Graphics

PCI express is a newer slot and from those pics its very physically different. The bandwidth is MUCH higher than PCI. Think of it this way, PCI had been around since ISA but PCI-E came out 2 years ago.

logically thinking

he said it was PCI. I suggest you upgrade, there is no point in getting a PCI card, just a waste of money.
if you want to save money buy a PCI card,
but it's like gambling coz you don't know what other parts might blow up after it..its an old PC and other parts might be obsolete in the market .If were to be asked I will buy a PCI card,,,well life is a gamble:D

What do you mean by this?

Any anyone suggest a PCI card i could get

Well you don't have much of a choice anyway. I think there are PCI 9250 and FX5200s but you don't have a wide range. You’d better upgrade it, it’s not very economical to get a PCI card.

A pretty good PCI card is GeForce FX 5200.

AGP is faster than PCI but PCI-E is ALOT faster than AGP. Get it?

Its the width of the bandwidth that is the main difference. For example, an AGP X700 and a PCI-E X700 will both have similar performance, but an AGP 8800 if there was any would be severely restricted by the bandwidth of AGP 8X.
