Ok so summers starting up and I will be heading off to college in the fall. I am being bought a laptop for my graduation present but i want to have a nice desktop rig as well and i ahve allways wanted to build my own, so why not now? I just need some input and a few suggestions.
HARDWARE:
Case - Xion Onyx XON-303
PSU - Xion Supernova XON-600FF14R 600w
MoBoCHANGE - Gigabyte GA-965p-s3
CPUCHANGE - Intel Core2Duo E4400
GPUCHANGE - GeForce 8600GT 256mb
RAMCHANGE - G.Skill 2GB(2 x 1Gb) 4-4-4-12 DDR2 800mhz
HDD - Segate Baracuda 400Gb 7200RPM 3gb/s
IDE - Lite-on 20x DVD + R
Ok so i changed a few things around, and went from Amd ------> Intel; notched off the sound card for a later date;but kept my case/psu/CD/DVD rom drive. Anything else you guys think i could tweak? or would this be a nice system?
BTW; all off of newegg it costs $829 + shipping + tax. With $70 in mail in rebates this look pretty good for a decent rig or think i can shop around for cheaper?
