Maybe it's just the dark pic, but i thought the same exact thing, Way too thick. I Would use around a spot the size of a grain of rice or less. any more and it interferes with the heat transfer.
You'll have to take off all cooling from the card, including the four screws on the backside of the card. Once the GPU is revealed clean all that nasty grime off with rubbing alcohol, or similar. Then proceed to put just enough on to cover the chip, should be a very thin layer. Put it back together and, Voila! A cooler graphics card.
My temps. I also want to put some AC 5 on my gpu, how would i go about doing that ?
