xxxalpinexxx80 New Member Aug 20, 2007 #4 e6850 is alot better but if you want something good and low price, this is the way to go, you are gonna need to dcide on a whole new board

maroon1 New Member Aug 20, 2007 #6 Don't be fooled by GHz E6550 performs on par with 6000+ even though it has lower GHz And I would get C2D E6550 over 6000+ because it run cooler, consume less power and overclocks way much better

Click to expand... not all, the x2 6000 can put itself on a par with the 6400 and in some benchmarks the 6600, so its better than a fair few of the lower end Core 2's I expect the upcoming x2 6400 will performing more regularly near the 6600
