I'm thinking of trying Suse 10.3 beta. It says it is only on one disc, Which sounds strange. It is http://en.opensuse.org/Development_Version#Downloads
Sounds like it. Why would you want a linux that takes 5 or 6 discs? that's just retarded.
sudo yum install openoffice
The other couple of Cds are usually just packages (which you would other wise be able to get through yum).
The other CDs arn't necesary it just mean you wont be able to install all your packages and will have to install them later. e.g. If CD2 contains openoffice but you don't have cd 2 it just means that after instilation you'll have to go (if you want openoffice that is)
Code:sudo yum install openoffice
Correct me if i'm wrong but Suse does use yum? I'm on ubuntu so i'm using apt.
sudo XYZ install openoffice
