nVidia, i love the styles of them and ofcourse the performance. Plus they are easier to follow to know what the performance is like. They just go up and up whereas Radeon have different kinds. :P

Plus i love the BFG Tech vids ;o

I was originally an Nvidia fan but now I think which ever manufacturer's card performs best for the amount of money I am willing to spend thats the one I'll go with, be it Nvidia or ATI. However with that said, for the amount of money I'm willing to spend, Nvidia wins the battle :D

I'm still an ATI fan, their prices are simply too good to pass up. The 2900XT is $390 and is only slightly worse than the 8800GTX, which retails at $500+

S3, ATI, Nvidia, Onboard...

ATI's not bad... it was my first GFX (Rage theater)

Maybe it's just my sympathy for older/worser things :P

I have, they are 28cm. 0_0 But the Ati cards seem to be bigger and I have a feeling they might run hotter, I don't know, but I know the previous generation the X1K series ran way hotter than Nvidia cards.

what is the best ATI or Nvidia card i can get with a budget of $200

8800GT is going to be out on October 29th, and the 256MB version of this video card is going to be priced at $199 while the 512MB version will pricesat $249

So, just wait for two weeks and then get 8800GT 256MB

ive had both types of cards and ATI is a great card to just throw in for cheappp but nvidia ive def had better times with so im going with nvidia

ATi was so pathetic in 2007, it seems to have given up on high end of the market and just focus on the budget end which it hasn't been excelling in anyway. The 8800GTX G80 should not still be the top card after a year. AMD/ATi's pathetic form is slowing down research and develpment. =_=
The recent launch of the HD3870 card to rival the 8800GT was just pathetic, the G90 beats the HD3870 in every test. The only thing going for Ati at the moment is the fact that there is a shortage of 8800GT's out there so, some consumers will opt for an ATi because they don't want to wait.
Get your act together ATi!!!

chill man.
ATI and AMD are blessings for those not able to spend alot of money on a PC.
let them be, what did they ever do to you?

Well I will tell you what AMD/ATi done to me, they are dragging the chain and reducing competiton on nvidia cards pushing up their price. They are slowing innovation because of their lack of competition. Í'm sure if Ati was competent nvidía's 9 series should be on the shelves now.
Ati is cheap, but when you take performance to price ratios, Nvidia wins hands down. Take the HD3870 and 8800GT for example, they are both around the same price, $AU350 for the ATi card and $AU390 for the 8800GT ( there are ones for $340 but they are from cheapo generic manufacturers). I'm sure if people can pay $AU350 they can shell out the extra 40 dollars for so much more performance and overclocking headroom.
