well so it doesn't go past the product key even if u type it in?

yes, it will go past teh installation key part and actually go through the install process, do i need clcik format drive? cuz it said somethin about a partition, not sure what that is? i click on the only "partition" i have im guessing thats my hard drive, and itll go through the installation, restart itself, then do the same thing again..

lol i was thinking that if you didnt take the installation disk out then when it restarted it would boot from cd and so it all again. lol

well if its not formated then it needs to be formated first

how u kno if its formatted, imma let it go through one mroe time and take out the disc and see what happenes.... its a western digital raptor....it also says 139gb total space, 119 free, so maybe i just keep reinstalling it like a dumbass? lol

I think y it only says u have 119 free is cuz vista takes up 20 gigs

i took the disc out now it says wait while windows starts for the first time, i think i got it, but...i saw like5 or 6 of "windows vista" when it said choose an operating system to start...lol...but it automatically skipped that screen and chose vista...imma see if half my memory is gone lol if not im good if it is, ill reformat and only let it run once haha...

yeah lol. so it did do a massive dual boot thing.

does that mean it was cos if the disc in the drive?

ok well i finally got to the desktop, and i put in the evga disc and when i click on "install motherboard drivers" nothin happens it shows that im clcikin on it, and it jsut sits, i installed the ntuner fine, but the mobo drives wont do n e thing....any ideas?

wow no idea.

but do you still have like 6 boot options for vista? cos you will need to fix that

in xp setup it gives you the option of formatting the partition you are installing it onto. does it do that for vista?

cos your gonna need to install it completely fresh

yeah. delete the partition of whatever. so that its completely new. you really dont want all the installs of vista hahaha

ok its a fresh start, but that stupid evga disc still wont let me install my freakin mobo drivers,.,.....!!!!!!!!!!!!! imma throw this computer out the window
