AMD 64X2 Dual Core 5000+ or Intel Core 2 Duo E4400?? --and why.

The AMD 64 chips wont overclock as well as core 2 duo's , regardless of multipliers because they cant handle higfher clock speeds ocmpared to teh duo's, its old tech now.

Thats cuz according to Intel they have a little bit of the NetBurst still in em. ;)

So it seems what they have FINALLY managed to do is create great CPUs that can actually match and outdo an AMD clock for clock while at the same time being able to majorly outclock them. Big step up from the Pentium 4s.

It all comes down to if you have a E4400, E4500 E6300, E6320, E6400, X2 4600 X2 4800, X2 5000 or X2 5200 and cant overclock sitting in front of your computer your not going to be able to tell much or any difference. If your doing mostly gamming the X2 5000 would probably be the better choice, if your doing mostly office work or encoding videos then the E4400 would be the better choice.

But dont you HAVE to be sitting in front of your computer to overclock? :D

You know what I mean, hes getting a Dell, no bios overclocking options:D, of course you could use a software based one but most are not that stable. But from what Ive seem out of all the computers that only around 3% of users really overclock, so for most people the one thats the fastest stock is all they care about.

3%, try like .3%
