yay

Might have been me, but I didn't know squat about PSU's back then. Then I read some of Ceewi1's posts... and then Rosewill came out :P

Apparently not now either. You read a post but not the excellent sticky on supplies seen at http://www.computerforum.com/90118-useful-psu-case-guides.html

I was one of those people that persisted in reminding ceewi1 to get a working list of "good" and "bad" lists together in the guildelines there. And you know what? Rosewill isn't a brand on either the good or bad lists there. :P

:P Forgot?

I think Ceewi1 or somebody told me that they make quality PSU's... And judging by the reviews and specs, it's pretty good. But if you looked CLOSER... You'll notice I junked the Rosewill and got an OCZ! It's 89.99 after rebates

When ordering the OCZ GameXStream 700w model for the new build here it was then about $140 with a $35 mail in rebate at the time. During the last month or so the price drop was seen as expected for back to school specials, fall clearance, etc. there.

The heavier supply here was for the work horse type build with additional drives and devices while others go for a larger model like that for SLI, Crossfire setups, ocing, large vpus on cards for gaming systems. The important thing to note about getting a supply is that is the back bone for determining a good build along with the other hardwares selected. A good reliable supply sees adequate regulation once you place a good load on it.
