I just started overclocking my E6850 and would like to know how far can you raise the FSB before you have to increase the cpu voltage. Right now I've done a mild overclock by raising it to 1433 to achieve a 3225mhz.
Thanks IntelCrazy
can it hurt my quad if i did a big jump like 2.4 to 3.6
ya i have water cooling does any one know the exact fsb for 3.6ghz and the voltage for q6600 b3
i think i can hit higher then that but should i?
when it was at 3.1ghz i would get 30c idle and usually 42c full load
Hey Intelcrazy did forget about getting back to me? Also I thought stock voltage for the E6850 was 1.35 volts.
but do you have a quad or a e6850

That sounds great for stock voltages. I'm guessing this is on your E6850 right?Do you think 3401Mhz on stock volts will hurt? Is it pretty decent?
Thanks

No, there shouldn't be. If it crashes however then you need to look into raising the voltage or lowering the speed.Yeah E6850... No harm done or damage right?
Thanks
