Okay how come the prices of two identical card will be diff. because one is PCI-e and the other is AGP.. But PCI-e cards seem cheaper than AGP card for the most part, but AGP is older shouldn't it be cheaper??

No, it's obsolete so the manufacturers make less of them or don't make them at all. Therefore there's less supply, so prices usually rise assuming there is still demand.

AGP = 8x

PCI-E x16 = 16x

PCI-E x16 is the most popular cards out now, they give speed for a good price... AGP is older and beginning to become obsolete... And most manufacturers don't want to produce them again...

You pretty much hit the nail on the head there. AGP is legacy technology, so manufacturers produce much more of the popular PCI-E x16 based video cards over the AGP 8x.

but i thought at 8x thats more thana enough speed for cards.... just like Ram the new type ram the DDR2 type ram i thought there is no need for all that 16X speed??
