Thats what i thought, i had a similar problem and as long as the pins arent bent or anything it should be fine.

No worries. We all start somewhere. I've seen worse. You'll know for next time and that's what counts.
heh, yeah. i think everything is fine. because the plastic thing was on i think the pressure i applied was pretty evenly dispersed on the pins on the mobo and so nothing was really at risk. and when i took the cover off it sat perfectly in place with ease.

Glad to hear that Advanced Micro Devices is going the route of getting rid of the fragile pins on processors with Socket F (1207 FX) as Intel did with the Socket 775 Land Grid Array design.
