Search around the forums. this is probably the most common question.
(edit, sorry if this sounded disrespectful, didnt mean it like that. Just saying that quickly you could find a general build idea then ask specific questions)

Boo to Lightscribe![]()
Although, get 2x of this RAM: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16820220144
CL4, and it's 1 cent cheaper than XMS2.
20% faster too![]()
Unless you enjoy a few hours of frustration, do NOT get the antec 900.
Is AMD's Sempron 2600+ (1.6) equivalent to a Intel 1.6? Nope!
They're equivalent to Intel's 2.4GHz...
Obviously. Cache sizes are dramatically different between the two, for example.
In addition to the faster speeds, the Radeon has 320 bit stream processors compared to the 8800's 128. That's a 250% difference. The Radeon is also $105 cheaper. Currently, the only advantage I see with the 8800 is the ability to run SLi and the free Crysis game. I'll look up some benchmarks between the two cards.
Someone correct me if I'm wrong, but the Radeon 3870's specifications appear to be better than the G92 8800 GTS. Performance-wise, does the ATi card beat the nVidia card? For now, I've removed the 8800 from the list and replaced with the 3870.
the 8800 is better.
