Excellent point tlarken. I especially loved "and your Power supply supplies power". All joking aside though, very good Post![]()
LOL, I meant you don't want some POS powersupply pumping dirty or unbalanced power through your rig.

You are way wrong, lol. The 3870 X2 is better then the 8800 Ultra in almost all tests, and costs hundreds less.I've read that the Radeon HD 3870 X2 isn't as good as the GT or GTS? I may be wrong though...

http://firingsquad.com/hardware/nvidia_geforce_8800_gt_performance/page5.aspI was referring to the single 8800GT versus the single 8800GTS.
Can you post links where they actually show 80% in game performance increases? Parallel processing is really only good for data throughput not for distributing or multi threading instruction sets. So, I don't see how you can get an in game 80% increase of performance versus a single good video card.
I'm sure the drivers are still immature. AMD released it pretty quickly. I've seen benchmarks that show, in some cases, it's better than the 8800 Ultra. Who knows?![]()
Technically, it looks like a great card.![]()
Ah, Nice! You going to corssfire them then?![]()

Thats just for FEAR, look at the other pages as well. 80% is a bit extreme, I guess I should have said around 50-80%.
I dunno yet. The drivers for quad crossfire are supposed to be released in March, I think. I'd like to try one out, but I'll probably wait and see what nVidia has to offer this year.
