Good airflow or bad?

Well I have been wondering since I havee put in my fans if its the best possible airflow or should I switch the intake and exhaust? This is my current setup, note this is not the case i have but it is EXACTLY identical. (I have an Ultra Aluminus full-tower.)
thermaltakesharkinsidenm7.jpg

The reason I have intake in back is because I have a window there so its cooler air going into the system instead of front and I have a separate fan blowing from that window. Would I get better temperatures the other way or would it just be a waste of time?
Current temps: All in celcius
cpu = 35 degrees Usually always in load (old processor)
mainboard = 29 degrees
ACPI thermal zone = 40 degrees (What is this?)
gpu = 50 degrees (idles at 47 usually)
Hard Drives = 30 degrees
Fans are Scythes, Ultra Kaze's 3000rpm

i see no reason for it not to work. but theoritaclly speaking, its would be better having the intake in the front. my reeasoning is this: The air would be cooler near the intake where ur hdd would be so then it can cool off the hdd witht hen cooler air. Also remember ur thing will not work mostly because of somethin we learned a long time ago: hot air rises. having the intake abouve the exhaust wouldnt work. so forget my first sentence. it wont work dude.

I tried that same configuration two years ago. The only part that ran cooler was the CPU. Everything else ran hotter.

Hi, I'm illiterate so I'm just going to look at your picture and assume you're asking if you should do that. I certainly won't take the whole two seconds it takes to read that that's what you have now and acknowledge your question about switching to a more conventional airflow setup.

no, this wouldnt work because, as Vizy93 said, hot air rises. if the intake was at the front with the exhaust at the back, it should be fine. also, the backs of computers tend to be closed in while the fronts are in the open, leading to more air to be able to go through the computer.

Your PSU is out taking air in the same direction as which it is blowing into the case. This will disrupt the rest off the flow of air and make the air just flow around the pus and cpu. Not the rest of the system.

Your temps are all okay. As everyone has said, that setup isn't ideal, but unless you really want to lower your temps (not that its that much work to flip a couple fans) you could leave it as it is.

I went to conventional setup and this is what I get. All from pc wizard.
cpu 41
mainboard 34
acpi zone 40
gpu 51

I get worse then what I was using. Conventional is worse then my previous setup but I don't feel like switching again.
Cpu idles near same it jumps so fast though it goes to 35 but goes to 41 in a second.
Its hot in my room but its always like that.

oh

Well, honestly, your CPU runs warm to start with, so I'd say 41*C on a P4 is pretty good:) GPU's are designed to run much hotter, and again, you have a nice temp for it.

Have you compared PC Wizard to other Temp Programs (Everest, SpeedFan)?

Well in game the p4 got up to 52 at 70% load. Gpu is actually 2-3 degrees cooler in game according to pc wizard. As its dropping since my room is getting colder. Cpu is now idling 35-40 which is normal gfx idling getting cooler at 49-50 havnt seen 48 yet. Seen the lowest temp of my cpu! 35 but it jumps because the load bounces.
In speedfan ->
temp1 37c
temp2 34
temp3 -55 ?
temp1 3c
temp2 0c
temp3 -128c ?
cpu 0c
internal temp 95c Uh?
remote temp 0c

Again, that's normal for a P4, if not actually even a bit lower than average, which is good temp-wise. The architecture of the CPU itself caused them to run a bit hot. Honestly, I'd keep a standard Front Intake and Rear Exhaust airflow setup.

AMAZING TEMPS NOW! They lowered since the room is cooler.
35
29
40
45-46 idling! That like 3 celcius cooler.
24 c hard disk 6 celcius lower!

I think they're bearable if looked head-on at night with no cathodes or LED's glowing through the side panel. Viewed from an angle or in the daylight though...yeah, I just don't understand it. It's all personal preference though, I'm sure some folks find my case hideous.

I love my Antec Ninehundred for one main reason. the temps. It flows so much air threw the thing it keep everything so so cool. Ezpecially the hard drives. I have 5 hard drives in here none of them are over 24C.. temp is so important in hard drives to keep them healthy. "I often read about users obsessing over their CPU or GPU temperatures, while ignoring their hard drive temperatures entirely. That's a shame, because the hard drive is the most temperature sensitive device inside your computer" Cool hard drives are very important to me. and with the antec 900 every three hard drives its own 120mm fan.

Its just the absolute best case for airflow and cooling I have ever owned. and the price is right. Its not an extremly cheaply made case, but its not the best. In my opinion its worth every penny.

the question was already answered at that point. The original poster did what he wanted and found out his temps. Then the convo changed to temps. I agree I could have typed more, but I was relaxing and could not reach the kb easily.. lol. I was being lazy.. to tell you the truth I didnt even use the kb to type that. I just copy and pasted from my sig..lol.

anyway.. thats that.

Antec NineHundred

no dont get that lol

? Everyone has those personally I don't like them.

same...very overated and ugly, and i say that under the pre-k rule: everyone is entitles to their own opinoin

once agian, true. i luv the look of the 330 and 340

"Hey guys, I was wondering, which direction do you think I should turn my fans?"

"Oh that's easy, Antec NineHundred."

...

lol
