Buying a new computer.

DDR3 = For idiot rich people... More technical cons below :) :

1) Expensive, nuff said.
2) Latencies are too high to see a big percentage increase over DDR2
3) Not a widely used standard
4) DDR3 motherboards are extremely expensive...

Yeah, the DDR2 pwns at this moment but I still can't wait untill the DDR3 drops in price :P. When they start to include the codes used for the newer cards, motherboards and RAMs in games I'll prolly drool over the awsome graphic and FPS these components can muster :P.

You can get Q6600 for just $249 from newegg, and it performs much better than Phenom 9600

fine offer ^^, appreciate it. Oh, true words; the Q6600 does perform much better then the Phenom 9600 - I did put down some time to uncoit the truth about it.

But as it is now I'm going to wait a few months untill I'm going to buy the new comp - and besides I'm hoping on some new technology are going to be released soon. Second I'm talking to my brother about the RAM, if I shall buy DDR2 800 or corsair Twin2X 1 GB DDR2-1066 kit, but perhaps I'm going to buy the corsair Twin2X 2 GB DDR2-800 kit just because I know about it and you've mentioned it. Two of the Corsair Twin2x DDR2 800 of course ^^, since 4GB is on the plat du jour right now :D.

Yes, most likely. But there can always be that bad egg somewhere in the litter ;)

PS - Congratulations for becoming a VIP! Just noticed that :)

Can anyone shed some light on this: Geforce over Radeon - no one haven't really writen anything out of true conviction that could persuade me into buying, or even to believe Radeon work better then Geforce, Radeon.

When I and my friend do some discussion about it it often end up in somekind of ardent annoyance - so naturally I ask peoples on the net instead about graphics cards.

Corsair Twin2X Dominator 2 GB DDR2-1150 kit or Corsair Twin2X 2 GB DDR2-800 kit? I know this is annoying but I'm such a person dosen't stop asking untill I'm satisfied and sure.

So my question is: Corsair Twin2X Dominator 2 GB DDR2-1150 kit over Corsair Twin2X 2 GB DDR2-800 kit?

Anything over DDR2-800 is useless and a waste of $$.

Yes, you said that before - but even so I do wonder, besides the increase in expense, how does this come? Is it because games in general and graphic cards dosen't utilize ram above 800 to a 100% or is it because the slight increase in performance is neglible in regard to the increase in cash above 800?

The second part. The peformance gain to price is... not worth it.

I had my DDR2-800 pqi Turbo RAM ($50) OC'd over 1000MHz (DDR2-1000)...

BTW... whats EPP nVidia / SLI Memory support good for? Is it as I guess it to be comatible with SLI, like increasing the performance, or is this some kind of 'special' option embedded in SLI?

As it is now I'm waging between the corsair or the PQI and are going into the small details - I know that I can google this but I figured that some details could be asked here instead.

Now I want you to take a look on this link and take a look on the specifications of the memory moduels and say that there is not a thing as EPP nVidia / SLI Memory support on RAM.

The question I previous asked was whats that for odd commodity they've integrated on the memory modules, or as we usually call it, RAM?

What's it used for? Should I see it as a important part of the RAM or should I blunder on as an ignorant PC-user and tell everybody I meet that's it wrong to see EPP nVidia / SLI Memory support as an important implement?

If this isn't important why would they even care to write it up as an part integrate to the memory module users know-how? Or is it me that dosen't understand that you've just answered my questions what this EPP nVidia / SLI Memory support really isnt important?

Ok...

Questions, questions, never ending questions...

sorry about that ^^, but more questions did pop up and one of these where something like this:

What's this, SPD 1 - RAS-to-CAS delay, used for and what does it stands for?
Just a small sudden interest of mine.

Theoretically, SLi memory paired with an nForce motherboard is suppose to make overclocking easier. I used to own a 680i and I never used this feature. It's basically a marketing gimmick - it really is. I think that's what oscaryu1 was trying to say. As far as your questions regarding CAS latency and RAM timings, check out http://www.computerforum.com/11096-ram-101-a.html

Thanks!
>Sorry< but I don't like to be verbally left out by the ambiguity of others words. It's horrid for me to, I should have said it, encounter it when I'm 'interacting' with peoples since I got Aspergers. :(

Nothing I would like to tell >anybody< on ANY forum but I don't want to be rude to others I might aswell tell the condition right away.

Kind words... well I don't know how to phrase it in a polite way but when you write to me, please do it as clearly as you can.

But yes, I can see this to be a moronic greedy gimmick by these companies and manufacturers to retain the tiny time of chance to earn more money.
Great thanks for the link - it's great! :D
