I have an old Compaq case lying around, and I've got some great ideas...

Ok, sere here's what I want to do;

Stick two Green 80mm LED fans behind this vent here. Can you think of anyway that I can make the vents bigger?

Have plenty of room inside and maybe stick an Antec Earthwatts 380watt PSU in there... With an ATI Radeon X850 Pro. I just need a socket A CPU! :(

Remove the rear vent and stick a new one on there;

Add a 120mm Green LED fan up at the top

Maybe stick a 15cm Green Cathode in there, to shine out the bottom.

Leave the bottom grill, (Sand the compaq writing off?) add some more grills. Spray Yellow, and put some 'Biohazard' tape on, with the green lights, I think it'll look awesome.

Spray the front yellow, any other suggestions?

If your skilled enough, after you sand the Compaq logo off, you should get fancy and make it look like some "slime" is coming down the side of the case. (Case window design cit to look like slime) and then add a plexiglass pane behind it to form a window of sorts. then get some green cathodes or something.

Yeah! That sounds cool! Isn't there some sort of a clay type thing people use?

I don't get what you mean with the window though?

What i would do:

1. mount the psu at the front bottom of the case with the exhast fan coming thought the bottom and the cables sticking up towards the 5 &1/4 inch bays

2. put a rad where the psu used to be

3. route wiring in the back of the case

4 sand out that grip thing of the right side panel so there just a whole shaped like it and put the res behind it with quick disconnect tubbing attachments (valves like the ones used in phase change)

5. mount a D5 pump on the outside of the case to make it look really industrial

6. severly undervolt a fan at the front so it slowly turns

just my 2-cents

Where did you find those brushes?

I think they were on Deviant Art or something :)

wait...socket A is 462 pins, right?
or socket 370....

Yeah, it's a socket 462.

Oooooold :p

awesome idea danny, thats a good idea kimkonow said :rolleyes:

what happned to that rig dan....you took away its brain and memory...and its cd drives and hard drive lol :D

you know the inside of that look exactly the same as my old socket A sempron rig.

Yeah, Thanks Jim! It'd look awesome with, 'BIOHAZARD' going around! ;)

I know, lol... I've actually still got the RAM, HDD and DVD Drive, they just aren't in it :p

FTB, Thanks for the suggestion, but I don't think I'll be going WC'ing on this, this is just a cheap / fun project, Thanks anyway :)

what I think would look nice, is that you cut out the 'Biohazard' sign out f the side of the case, put plexiglas on the inside of the case, and put back the inside of sign (paste it onto the plexiglass, or bolt it on.

what I mean, is that only the red part of the sign is plexiglass, and the rest is (orange painted?) metal of the case. then you could get a glimpse of the inside of the case, but its still not, well, too open.

its not THAT hard to cut, but as with everything I recon you'd need the right tools :)

you would have to draw it on the case first, and then take your time to cut it out. (using a dremel I geas would be the easy-est) but, if you cut, go 1 mm (or something like that) to the inside (so, onto the part thats beeing removed) so you can file the last bit, since thats a bit more accurate and better for the finnish ^^

Haha! Erm... Yeah! :D

All this can be yours for a low, low price of $129.99 (Batteries sold separately, accessories not included) :p :D

On a more serious note...I might actually consider giving this to you if you actually wanted it. I don't like my case that much, never was a fan(hehe, pun) of the biohazard stuff(except when I bought it of course).

you could use a dremal on those vents, and add new mesh in place of the old stuff, but what i think you should do is get something to look like the vents on ductwork
