How can i increase virtual memory in computer i have windows vista.

Guys, if you don't know how to do it then don't post. Cohen, he is talking about virtual memory, not physical memory.

To the OP, to increase the size of the page file go to Start > Right click on "Computer" > Properties > Advanced System Settings > Click on "Settings" under Performance > Advanced > Click "Change" under Virtual Memory

Virtual memory is just that, virtual. What you may be referring to is the size of the virtual memory, as it does get larger/smaller with the amount of physical RAM that is installed.

Number, in kilobytes, of virtual memory. For example, this may be calculated by adding the amount of total RAM to the amount of paging space

They probably do that, because applications cannot see the difference.

Right click on my computer > Advance tab > performance settings > advance tab > here you will get settings for virtual memory settings
