How can i increase virtual memory in computer i have windows vista.
whatever you want
- Go to start
- right click on computer
- go to properties
- go to advanced system settings
- go to the advanced tab and click on settings listed under performance
- click on the advanced tab
- click the change button
- click on custom size
- make the minumum size equal to the current allocated size and the max to
warning* increasing the use of your virtual memory can increase your performance but it will also use your hard drive each time its utilized.
Which is actually slower then hard drivesI put mine on my flash drive
Virtual memory is just that, virtual. What you may be referring to is the size of the virtual memory, as it does get larger/smaller with the amount of physical RAM that is installed.Doesn't Windows define virtual memory = physical + paging ?
Then more physical ram will also increase the virtual memory counter.
