Xbox 360 or PS3?

Ok, so trying to decide between the two.
Blueray won, so maybe that will be important in the future, but right now I really don't care about.

So which one should I get? Xbox 360 has better online gameplay with LIVE correct? But wireless is another $100, which comes with the PS3 already. PS3 you can load linux onto it also.

What do you guys have between these two? Is COD4 online any fun with PS3? Have a ps2 and enjoy not paying to go on the internet, but is the money worth it for live?

Also PS3 is coming out with more games soon correct?

Ps3 Hands down!! For gosh sakes people came up with the "Red Ring of Death" b/c the xbox sucks so bad!!! Microsoft says they fixed it but still I would buy one of those hunks. The only reason I would even consider buying a 360 is for graphics but the Ps3 is just as good if not better than the 360. Plus Halo has to be one of the worst and most over-rated games ever!! Sony will always be better than microsoft when it comes to game console's!!! Thats my two cents!!

Your also very short sighted, simply stating the ps3 is better based on the RROD and the game Halo. Granted, I do give you props in not believing the 33% RROD myth.

To start out, get the 360, not only because of Halo 3, but the several hundred other games. Yeah, they arnt as good as Halo 3, but they are still fun . Like dead rising and gears of war (1 and 2).

The controls on the ps3 are absolute crap. They are looser then a whores vagu. I like the 360's because they are accurate and have triggers, not just buttons. Which is way better for COD4 and Halo3 guns.

Xbox live is also great, I can always find a game with a couple of friends when logging in. And if not, I make new ones out of the millions online. Ps3 may have free internet, but its fan base is less then 360's.

The only reason to get a ps3 would be for its blue-ray and GTA4, but microsoft is working on getting a blue-ray player for the 360 anyway. And GTA4 is gunna come out for 360 now.

Why pay $100 for wireless. Cat 5 is 10 bucks for 100 feet, and no lag!

Yeah, its all my opinion, but still the 360 is better, get it.

I don't get it, why choose between the bad ones when you can get the only good system for half the price?

lol, why are the controllers bad? it fits in your hand and it does have pressure sensors OH AND WHATS THAT!!!!! OMG THEY ARE MOTION SENSING!!!!!

Why ps3 controller is worse then the 360.

1.Ps3 is blocky-360 is round, smooth.
2.Ps3's supposedly pressure sensitive buttons, only go in 1/8th of an inch, there is no variability like with a trigger.
3.360 is motion sensitive...
4.Lights are a glance down, no need to tilt the controller and screw up your game.
5.ps3 headset 40$, xbox360 headset 20$.
6.Xbox 360 has a Messaging kit.
7.Both are 2 pounds, dont know where you got the idea one was heavier then the other.
8.Didnt the first versions not have force feedback?

I own both and rarely find myself playing my PS3.

I can't get enough of Forza Motorsport 2.

And I don't know how anybody could look at the success of the Halo series and call it over rated.

g25 racer provided us with plenty of factual information about why Halo was so terrible.

Plus Halo has to be one of the worst and most over-rated games ever!!

I really don't see the fascination with Halo, 1, 2 or 3... I find them all the same and repetitive.

I'd go for the PS3, I believe it'll be more "future proof"...

But that's just my opinion

Here in the uk the 360 is 2/3 of the price of a ps3, that would be enough to influence me. So it can't play blu-ray, I can't say I've ever thought dvd is lacking in quality anyway. Bigger online community, more big games, if I was buying a console it'd be the 360 hands down

The 360 will no doubt be replaced first though, but hey, what you gonna do, spend another £100 so you can have a current console a year longer, but with no other obvious advantages

I have the 360 and I love it. Forza Motorsport 2 is a very good game.

And I'm with you Jacob, the 360 controller is far easier to use!

okay I own both, x360 is much better. Framerates are always better, but if you own a good hd tv... and you dont play games as much... go with the ps3

If i had to decide between the two though - it would have to be ps3, only because they look a lot cooler, feel more robust, and dont break every week!

i would still choose the ps3 over the 360,the 360 still has many issues with overheating and such.

Atleast someone understands were im coming from!! I got some more stuff to rank about on the 360! First off the 360's controllers def do suck. Then there's the no wifi issue and no blueray player. Then the brick for the power supply. LOL Common 360 FANBOYS dont gt me started again!!

I dont get it, is there some kind of joke going around? I thought this was a bashing console contest, not the game contest? Which even if you take out halo3 the 360 still wins with way more games.

But if we want to discuss halo !

g25 didnt provide us with any information, he simply stated it was overrated, an opinion. He didnt say "the controls are hard to get used to" (which they arnt), or "the story line is too confusing (only if youre 3), or "I suck at games that take skill" (oh, woops, thats an opinion) .

You can hate the halo series if you must, youre just missing out. Im wondering why you posted the figure of $300 million in sales, and then act like thats a bad thing. Apparently its a good game to someone out there . I dont get your line of logic either. According to you, any game that gets a lot of sales is bad. But Im willing to bet your playing cod4 at the moment .

That has long been fixed by new CPU's/GPU's and new heatsinks. The 360 is the best choice. Let's face it, PSN is shit and everyone knows it. I'd rather pay $50 a year for Live and get quality service and have a great community than have PSN for free and have it suck. Graphics wise, the consoles are virtually equal. The only pro in my mind for the PS3 is the fact that it can play Blu-Ray movies.

Don't have a gaming PC, just a multitasking one.

Well, have a PS2 controller and it's fine so I don't really care about it being more ergonomic friendly?

Does anybody know if more PS3 games are coming out? Because right now I think Xbox wins in the games categories.

Why is live so much better? For instance, is there really that much more people on COD4 on live instead of PSN?
