Get a PSP and a 4/8gb memory stick. make sure it is fw. 2.71 or below. Then get 2.71 SE-C (custom firmware, not sony's) and load it with multimedia and homebrew.

If they are a power seller w/ 100%, then generally it is safe. There is always a chance though.
