    Vissta to W7 Upgrade...power loss

You certainly have to change the boot-sequence in BIOS : 1. CDROM 2. HARDDISK During the restart, your Recovery CD/DVD will start automatically, doing its job. I don't know about the rest. Think of your DATA also !!!

    CCleaner v2.35.1219

I ran CCleaner v2.35.1219 in a pure WinXPproSP2-environment, - which has never been on-line - which is totally malware-free - which doesn't contain any Third Party Software installed, except CCleaner. The goal was to verify how many registry CCleaner would report in such a virginal...

    Software probelms I think

I don't know. That's my way of reasoning : a change of hardware can cause problems. I used the same reasoning when I created my golden reboot. Any new CHANGE on my harddisk can cause a problem, so I only had to find a software, that undoes any CHANGE on my harddisk during reboot, which I found...

    Printers not printing anything

Did you install the software of the printer properly and read the manual how to use it, like how to replace empty cartridges, etc. ? If you don't do it right, you can get blank pages.

    Software probelms I think

Well you changed something : your monitor = tv-screen. In that case, I would undo the change and see if the problem still occurs. If the problem is gone, it's caused by your tv-screen. Maybe your computer can't handle your tv-screen.

    Anyone had problems with SORBS?

I never heard of SORBS, had to look it up. http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Spam_and_Open_Relay_Blocking_System I never liked blacklists as security (too many holes) and blacklisting people has always been unfair, proven more than once in history.

    Loading XP Home

I created an ISO-image of all my Software CD's, including WinXPpro and MS Office 2000. This allows me to reproduce any of my software CD's over and over again, if they are damaged. My "MS Office 2000"-CD is at least 7 years old, with an ISO-image I can create a new one, if that CD is worned...

    Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware

I don't need a registry repair software anymore. There is nothing wrong with these 5 reported registries, they are valid and innocent, no reason at all to remove them. My golden reboot takes care of my Windows Registry and does it much better and safer than system mechanics.

    floopy diskette seek failure

Also check the boot sequence in BIOS, the first boot-sequence has to be CDROM and not FLOPPY and the second boot sequence has to be HARDDISK.

    Having Small Issue

That is usually the final solution for users with a weak security. I've done it myself many times, to get rid of ALL my problems, when I was less knowledgeable. Needing a fresh install is indeed "Having Small Issue". I hope you took at least a backup of this fresh install to make a restore...

[Proposed Tech Guide - Please Comment] Guide To Faster OS Installation

I played with nLite/vLite myself long ago. If I remember well, nLite was able to create a WinXP Pro Installation CD, that installed the folder "Documents and Settings", which contains all your data, on another harddisk, for instance disk-D. That was the most interesting feature of nLite/vLite...

    Freeware List

Nice freeware list, my compliments !!! In het chapter "Compression/Archiving/File Manipulation:" I couldn't find IZArc : http://www.izarc.org/ "IZArc is 100% virus free and it doesn't contain any spyware or adware." and it's true, I scanned it myself with the very best scanners.
