It restarts before the scan can be completed... EDIT- OK, so I got it to start scanning but it said it had to restart because of presence of a rootkit? Now on restart it started all over again. AND I told dcom to do nothing when it fails so hopefully that will temporarily fix the restart problem.

Yap you need the receipt. But try plugging it into it's own different outlet. I had an issue with my dell laptop not being able to charge the battery properly and it turned out being the outlet, which worked for other things.

They use different power cords, the 360 has the "brick" built in, while the PS3 is just a cord without that thing to step it down. To the OP, sorry that's really strange? Never heard of a PS3 doing that, hopefully it's still under warranty or just an easy fix. edit- maybe try plugging it...

If you have vista, the media center is very slick and works just like tivo. I run a tv tuner with two tuners, don't know name of it (see sig) and it works out really slick so I don't have to get tivo for my cable, it just saves them to the hard drive.
