http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817139005&Tpk=650tx or http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16817341017&cm_re=ocz_psu-_-17-341-017-_-Product These two would work a lot better. and you wouldnt have to worry about extra hard drives and what not.

Question, whats raid 0 and all that stuff?

    Just for laughs

yea, it totally makes sense. People get so caught up in upgrading more and more instead of just playing games. Upgrade when the games you want to play dont play as well on your comp. Ive have to catch myself a few times for doing that.

    Just for laughs

I was on overclockers forum to read about the 300 series Nvidia cards and one member said this: "You guys must really have some money burning a hole in your pocket. You already have the best performing card on the market, and you seem to spend more time researching your next vid card then...

    2 cards, pick the best

Benchmarks from people on this forum, me personally, MaximumPC magazine, a couple places. And by the way, I think you and me arguing is just helping you get closer to 100 posts so you can legit your score in the 3DMark06 thread so people can shut up and stop being jealous of you :)

Get ATI 5000 series or wait?

Hopes it's march, they mentioned January before. I might switch over just because I was originally for Nvidia, just because of the better drivers. I like ATI cards, but the drivers are to be desired.

    Official 3DMark06 Rank Thread

I like the Asus model, hence the reason I just want it for keep sake :) And earlier I meant that the score that I hatethedukes beat you with you mentioned you only spent about $200 on (and I know a gts 250 is cheaper than that), but your score was with a 4870x2, which is a lot more, and when...

ok, cool. No harm just didn't want people ragging on anyone else. And btw, I can't find an asus 4879x2 anywhere for less than $450 :( I really want one just for the hell of it, even though I have a 5850.

    2 cards, pick the best

If you picked the 4890, what are you complaining about, since I'm the one that said "hands down"? I've used both, I know which is better based on performance in my opinion. And with past history to show, the 4890 does just perform that much better to make it worth while.

    Post Your GPU Overclock!

And I ran this stable through 3DMark06 Edit: I accidently bumped the Mem too high, it should be at 1250 in the picture, my bad. I run it lower when not doing anything so I pushed it up for the picture and pushed it too far.

Get ATI 5000 series or wait?

I was waiting, but it's true, they are going to be ridiculously expensive. Yea, I understand that the 5970 is $650, but its the only dual gpu with dx11 and its performance, on the market right now, so it can be that expensive.

Get ATI 5000 series or wait?

The higher end 5*** series will blow through this gen and next gen games, I'm sure. I put a lot of research into a few months ago before I bought my 5850 this past couple weeks. the 5870 is a little too expensive, instead get the asus 5850 for $300. It has a voltage tweak that asus unlocks...

This coming from the guy that has all new computer parts compared to his original score's rig  Doesn't the 4870x2 cost like $450 used...?

    How to Crossfire

Nice :D I mentioned Molex to PCIe adapters, but like I said I don't recommend that unless you can't afford a new PSU.

    How to Crossfire

There are plenty of different places you can get information on ATI's Crossfire Set up, but I just wanted to put it all in one place for the users of this forum. The reason it's only crossfire is because I use ATI cards, I have never used SLI with Nvidia. I am not claiming to be a crossfire...
