    i7 2.66Ghz 920

Mine is running at 3.43Ghz, 60c max under 100% load. Should be able to get close to 4Ghz with a V10 safely.

Case choice; Antec 1200, HAF 932

I like the HAF because of side access hard drive bays. I don't need to remove my GPU to access my hard drives.

how do i make a bootable os in a flsh?

Vista won't fit on a 4GB flash drive, and this only works for Windows 7, from my experience. This can only be done from Vista or Windows 7, as Diskpart in XP doesn't recognize USB drives. * Start Menu, type CMD, Right Click, Run As Administrator * Type diskpart * Type LIST...

Cleaning the inside of my computer

Air compressor tanks collect condensation (water), which will spray out as a mist and could potentially destroy computer components. Unless you're certain there's no water in the tank, which you cannot at a service station, do not use it. Cans of compressed air are the best to use in my...

    Possible New Build

Onboard audio is fine for most people, especially with newer boards that offer multichannel HD audio. I agree with the RAM comment. These hard drives are solid, fast, and inexpensive: Seagate ST3500418AS 500GB I have to strongly disagree with the XFX comment. Double Lifetime Warranty is...

    Appraisal Please

I would go back to where you bought your parts and see how much they currently sell for and go from there. You should get at least 50% of their current retail value. My current build would cost only $300 less if I built it today. (using an i7 930 and an updated version of my cooler) The...

    windows 7 or mac?

    1. Download Microsoft Security Essentials or Avira Antivir Free 2. Uninstall Norton. 3. Reboot and install either of the other antivirus software. 4. Ask someone to pick your jaw from the floor, after you've seen how Norton kills your performance. 5. Post back here.

Did you try booting with only 1 stick of RAM? Try booting with each of your sticks, in the required first slot.

I have a theory and question about all three operating systems, windows xp, 7 & vista

So much RAM? 20% is alot to make applications load faster? Love it! :D Vista x64 uses 1.2GB of my RAM idle. Win 7 x64 uses 1.1GB of my RAM idle. Windows 98 would bottleneck my hardware...lightning fast, it would not be.
