The only issue I have with my VelociRaptor is how much I paid for it. ($230)
I don't get great read/write speeds with it (about 100MB/s...).
I would have been better off with a couple $50 drives in RAID 0. :(
What issues have you had with your board?
Asus is probably one of the biggest brands, and therefore put out more boards
than many other brands, so the odds of getting a bad board would statistically be greater. Just by the numbers...
Memory will only run in single, dual, or triple.
The memory controller will not pick and choose which sticks to run at which rate.
I would recommend running the board at optimum conditions.
Meaning, if it's meant to run in Dual Channel, I would run it in Dual Channel.
Most people will...
Almost all motherboards setup for Triple Channel RAM have 6 slots, yes.
Currently, only motherboards with the Intel X58 chipset have triple channel RAM. (Core i7 9XX series)
Some X58 boards have less or more slots, run in a slightly different configuration. I've seen Intel and Gigabyte...
Absolutely.
Incorrect, it doesn't work that way. Your memory is running in Single Channel.
Dual Channel RAM is meant to use 2 or 4 sticks, and Triple Channel RAM is meant to use 3 or 6 sticks.
If you do not populate the slots in pairs (Dual) or a set of three (Triple),
ALL of your RAM will...

AMD Phenom II X4 925 $129.99
The processor will come with a cooler, as long as it's a retail version.
(not open box or OEM)
Unless you plan to overclock, the stock cooler will be fine.
Relax dude. I was just stating an observation. I've just never heard of them, as
most people here probably haven't either. Otherwise more people would use it...
No need to get defensive, especially when you're defending someone elses opinion.
If it was some of the best for overclocking, you'd think at least one person would have purchased a set from Newegg... :P
Considering it has a Lifetime Warranty, I guess I might gamble. Maybe...
Have you configured Crossfire correctly?
Did you swap the cards to see if each of them works by itself?
The Thermaltake manual also states:
"For SLI and Crossfire, you have to use one PCI-Express connector
which comes out from the power supply unit, and one Modularized
PCI-Express connector...
