Not sure what you mean... I've never seen a GPU that you had to plug the fan onto the motherboard. When you insert the power plug from your PSU to your GPU, the fan gets power. If the card doesn't require a power plug from your PSU, it gets power from the slot.

Maybe that's why Windows Disk Management is useless, and the reason I never use it? :D Sorry, but I don't understand this at all. Say I create a 100Gb partition and install Windows on it. You're saying I will only be able to shrink that volume to 50Gb?

I've never had issues managing partitions using GParted, OS partition or not. I've had nothing but issues managing partitions within Windows. When shrinking the partition, the software should move any data from the end of the partition with no problems. The problem here, in my opinion, is...

The OS partition (most commonly C: ) is very different. Windows is running on it...and mostly won't let you muck with it, as stated. Windows will have much less problems with most other partitions.

As said already, looks like you've tried everything except a different graphics card, which probably should have been the first thing tested, since your issues are graphic related. Hindsight ya know. :good:
