    grounded i/o shield

I'm pretty sure that will be fine. The casing of a PSU is grounded, the casing is common with an i/o sheild because of a computer case anyway, so ya that will be fine.

    Moniter Advice/Recommendations

IMO, definitely not the Dell one, it's smaller, has a slower response time and smaller resolution. The Asus and samsung are great choices though.

    grounded i/o shield

I don't understand, are you mounting the plug on the IO shield? or just passing wires through? What exactly are you afraid will short?

    dood where's my res ?

Have you installed video drivers? EDIT: nvm, just saw that you did, hmmm How about this: Are you using a VGA connection or DVI? I had a friend once that had a bad VGA cable. It would appear to display video, but the computer wasn't reading whatever feedback it usually gets, because it couldn't...

    GPU input

Hey Steve, welcome to the forum. I can't really answer your question, but if a previous thread hasn't answered your question, you're better off starting a new thread. Go ahead and try posting your question in the Video Card and Monitors section. Also if you haven't already, have a look at the...

    Tooo hot!!!

You could get better GPU cooling, but really those temps are fine. Depending on CPUs, 60C is acceptable. GPUs can go to 100 C without frying (although I would be worried at that point).

    5870 eyefinity 6 edition price

You're probably right. I'll just have to get a secondary graphics card for that fourth monitor.

    GPU input

Agreed. Your machine would become a decent gaming rig with that card.

    5870 eyefinity 6 edition price

Yes, I think you right, I heard the same EDIT: Actually I think it might work, but only if you connect the 3 monitors to one card. It's hard to tell, alot of people say one thing then other people say something else. EDIT2: AHA! Yes, eyefinity+CF is supported, check this out

    Micro Stuttering

    Ok, thanks for the info

    5870 eyefinity 6 edition price

Well that's pretty much perfect. But I think what I'll do is get the 5870, and get another one later to do the same thing. EDIT: If eyefinity and multiple monitors works with CF and all that, getting two normal 5870 is better than getting a pricey 5870 eyefinity 6 edition.

    Micro Stuttering

Sorry, you're right I could have just done more research. I was too quick to make a new post. So yes, it still seems to be an issue.

    Micro Stuttering

Well that clears things up, thanks! I've got no experience with SLI or CF, I just saw that article and though I'd ask...

    Micro Stuttering

Is Micro stuttering still a problem for SLI or CF? I'm thinking about 5870 vs 2 5850 in CF, keeping price in mind.

    5870 eyefinity 6 edition price

Can the 5850 have three monitors if you use an active DisplayPort->DVI like the 5870 can? EDIT: If I get two 5850, I'd like to be able to connect three of my monitors on one card to create a "display group" and have my fourth monitor on the other card as a secondary display. Would I be able to...

    5870 eyefinity 6 edition price

No, I'm definitely a gamer ;) I'm more familiar with Nvidia, could you tell me more about CF. It does support multiple monitors on multiple card like SLI does right?

    5870 eyefinity 6 edition price

Found this this morning. Around $700, is it worth it? I'll be running four monitors, three of which will be a "display group". But I could also get a normal 5870 with a active display port adapter, for grouping three displays, and a secondary weaker card for that fourth monitor: total cost...
