Their could be many things that lead to this, but id have to say one of the 2 below... 1. it could be just that the SATA connection being faster than PATA 2. it could be solower because of fragmeted files, 200 gb is a big hdd, lots of fragemented files, I know mine is a 300 gb sata and always...

you wont need a cd-key until after youve installed windows and just need to activate it. Save all the info u need, like Shiwen said. When you get into the windows setup, continue installing a fresh copy of windows, contunue util it gets to screen on which partion u want to install windows on...

In my opinion, the X800 is fine, unless your realy psyked on getting a 256 mb core...

Mostly just look for a good video card. Ram and Hard Drive can be upgraded much cheaper than a company would charge.

hook up a keyboard like they said above. For the most part, virus protection is false protection. Altho they do catch some know viruses
