im looking for a cheap motherboard that has firewire. it can be am2 or 775. cheap is the number one factor.

well i installed another 285 gtx now but since then i havent had near the OC on the CPU i did on 1 gtx. its weird but im gonna work on it. ive gotten a better score but i wont accept it unitll its at least 22k +. any1 has any reason why my cpu OC would drop w/ another GPU i would love 2 know...

im getting another gtx285 tomorrow so im gonna blow my old score outta the water.

If you remove the shroud and put a fan on the heatsink it will cool fine. The shroud doesn't bring cool air in from the outside, it's there so the fan on the back can be used to cool the processor it blows out. It was just a cost cutting thing by dell.

The build you have listed on the top is very nice. It has the gtx+ and i7. It would be a solid performer

the 430w psu wouuld power it fine. and that looks like an x1900 in there or x850. but thats not his computer just a pic of one like his.

well im making this post from a new install of windows. so its not urgent to find a solution, but if you happen to have one i would love to know it so i can add it to my knowledge.

Ok I updated iTunes and it told me to restart my computer. I did and now after I log in and vista is booting my computer freezes up and I can only move the mouse. The funny thing is that as soon as I press the power button it unfreezes and works perfectly for just over a second before it shuts...

why would you replace a 35$ piece of junk with a 42$ piece of junk? if your funds are really THAT short then i get it but 42$ is a cheap mobo.

if you can justify a gtx260 then its a good choice
