If I remember correctly, DFI uses the Diamond Flash Image utility, but that could be irelevant to the newer boards. I wouldn't flash a BIOS though if all is running fine. Good luck fitting BIOS images from today on an old "floppy" drive :P

Looks t the timming specs on the RAM sticks. What I'd do would be this: Look at the timmings, loosen them by raising them. Use selected voltage, raise the RAM FSB to 2000. Also, bump CPU FSB also. That could help from the big gap between both.

So you're saying that MS bottlenecks the RAM addressing? Well, in a way, Vista will be dead before we even reach 4TB of RAM...

The way he's using his PC...he's probably sitting on a couch, and he has to bend to reach the keyboard and mouse...unless that table is at his height. It must hurt on the back eventually.

You've got a nice setup...but it must be a pain to sit and use keyboard and mouse at the same time.

If you tried drivers already, I'd say it's a dead sound card. You've got two choices: Spend on RMA, or spend on Sound Card. I'd say Sound card, since sound quality is better and improves performance, since CPU doesn't process sound outputs as well (Difference is minimal)
