24" or 28" monitor or maybe bigger

Ok ty for the info. Maybe I will just stick with a 1070 and go with a 1440p and save a little money. I am guessing 1440p is considered 2k, right? Are there any certain brands to stay away from? How much of a difference is there between 1080p and 1440p?

I don't have a problem turning down the settings as long as I don't have to turn them all the way down. One game I plan on playing is BF1.

24" or 28" monitor or maybe bigger

I am looking to do a new build soon hopefully, not had much time to mess with it. I am looking into upgrading to a 4k monitor as well. I would not mind having a 28" if it would be in my budget. My budget is $300 to 400. I do mostly gaming like BF1 and maybe others as well along with watching...

Making an upgrade, Ryzen 1700x, i7 7700K, or Coffee Lake

Well I still have not made any purchases yet. Been kind of busy to mess with it. I am thinking about going with an intel build and maybe even waiting for Coffee Lake. Is there an exact release date for Coffee Lake? Would Coffee Lake be worth waiting for over the i7 7700k or the amd ryzen...

Making an upgrade, Ryzen 1700x, i7 7700K, or Coffee Lake

Ty for all the help so far, really appreciate it. I will have to read some guides on overclocking and probably ask questions here. About using my noctua cpu cooler, has anyone ever got the free mounting bracket from noctua? Just curious how long it would actually take to get it. It says 1-4...

Would there be any difference between my current dh-14 and the ones they sell now? I don't plan on buying a be quiet over my noctua, was just trying to figure out if I would have clearance issues. But it sounds like I would be fine.

How do I tell what the height of the ram is? I did not see anything about that in the specs on newegg. What coolers would not have any clearance issues with the ram or vice versa? This might sound dumb but is there a site that allows you to build a pc virtually with the parts you pick out...

Would there be any issues with using my current noctua nh-d14? I know I would have to get a mounting bracket for it, which noctua does offer it free.

Part of me wants to go with the 1700x and another part of me wants to go with the 7700k. I tend to overthink everything and maybe put a little too much thought into it lol. I know what ever I get will be a great system and much better than what I have now. I thought about reusing my case...

Looking at cpu coolers for the amd on newegg, why is there only one listed for the AM4 socket? Would it be possible to use my current Noctua NH-D14 for the 1700x? I do still have the stock i7 920 cooler I could stick on there if needed.

I am still debating on whether going amd or intel. I know either way I go, I will have a system that performs really well especially compared to what I have now. At this moment, it seems I would get better performance from the 7700k since I will be doing mostly gaming even though the 1700x...
