    Coolermaster Cosmos

I just got the Cooler Master Cosmos S and my only complaint is that it is HUGE!!! The wire organizer is pretty nice, but you have to do a good job organizing it yourself. you can't just throw it in there or the door won't shut. The biometric power button is cool, but if you hit it accidentally...

About to water cool; Where to buy?

I'm about to watercool my 2.4ghz quad-core and my 8800 Ultra. I'll be doing it in the Cooler Master Cosmos S. First off. Where do you recommend buying the components? Newegg is great but their watercooling section is very lacking. Second. has anyone watercooled a cooler master cosmos...

    Just a question....

Well, if the fans on the cooling pad are pushing air in the opposite direction of the fans in the laptop, then they may conflict and burn out the fans over time. If they are blowing in the same direction, there should be no problem. That's just my educated guess.

how to make coolant motion visible

Are you certain? It is true that if the system used a reservoir that the oil would escape to the top of the reservoir and not be used, but if it was a closed tube system then would the oil not be forced to move, even at the highest point in the system?

how to make coolant motion visible

So I've been wondering. Is there an additive that one could add to liquid coolant that you could see moving through the clear tubing? This would make the liquid cooling system look Incredible if it could be accomplished. But it also is probably difficult. A tinted oil perhaps? Of course, we...

Need a Multifunction 5.25" bay that plugs into Motherboard

Thanks for your efforts Paratwa. I'll take a look at these and keep researching. It just seems to me that there must be an ideal bay out there. Some company surely made one that is completely internal. since all the ports are there. EDIT: AH! here's one...

Need a Multifunction 5.25" bay that plugs into Motherboard

I've been looking at Multifunction 5.25" bays. You know, so that I can have USB, Audio jacks, and flash readers up front. There are lots available at many websites, but almost all of them seem to work in this manner: They run out of the computer's back panel and plug into the motherboard's...

    System Built. NO LIFE.

Sounds like you're doing everything right. I just built my first a few weeks ago, my problem was that I forgot the extra power pins next to the CPU but it sounds like you found that. Just look all over the board for something you may have missed. Read your motherboard manual if you have too...

I need a 5.25 bay that does EVERYTHING

Actually... Now that I've been looking at all of those bays... Most seem to work by the method of running cables out of the I/O panel and into the back of your sound card, usb plugs, etc. Don't they have options to jump directly off the sound card and/or the motherboard's usb options? I know...

I have two bays and one has a nice dvd burner in it. so I'm good there, but I'd like to have audio and USB up front...

How to install an I/O shield

What i mean is that the prongs stick out of the back of the I/O shield, trying to install it they stick into the computer. Are they supposed to wrap around the USB ports and other ports? Or do they go inside them? They can't go anywhere else... except cut off.

How to install an I/O shield

Ok, this may be a stupid question to some. But I CANNOT figure out how to install the I/O shield for my new motherboard, the Asus Striker Extreme. What do I do with all of these metal prongs sticking out of the back?! I have tried and tried to find an orientation for them that allows them to...

Best CPU Cooler for Striker Extreme *sigh*

I need the advice of some experienced techs. I'm in the process of building a computer, and everything has come to a halt thanks to this hate-filled Asus Striker Extreme Motherboard. My current CPU heatsink and fan, the Arctic Cooling Freezer 7 Pro, will not fit without substantial modding. I...
