My A.T.I. ccc claims that my pci-x slot is only operating at 4x I would like to know how to fix this anyone with an idea, it would be greatly apreciated

-Intel pentium D
-Saphire hd 2900gt
-2 gb A-data 667 ram
all you have to do is google your product infor and you can usually answer questions like this for yourself. Though, people on this site are always willing to help . good luck
oh thanks didn't even notice then when i bought the board noramlly 16x means 16x on the primary slot but thats my fault for not doing enough research thanks guys.

x16 means the size and capacity. For whatever reason(i am assuming when this was released x16 was uneeded or your mobo could not handle all 16 lanes) your mb only has the 4 lanes.
One thing to say, it says the board is compatible with Pentium CPUs. I am not sure if this is ALL pentiums or not, I am away that you have a Pentium D. This is a good question to ask someone else because I am not sure.
Good board brands are intel, evga, msi, and gigabyte. Asus is good, (asus can be picky about memory type though) as well as abit but the first four mentioned are best.
