Not to insult or anything but I wouldnt drop $500 on a video card when DX10 cards are on the horizon. $300 would be the max. Also newegg has 22" widescreen monitors as low as $338. Mobo I'd go with the P5W myself. I just built my rig 3 days ago and spent $1486 with shipping from newegg. Check my sig. Oh the 37" LCD was not included in the above amount =).

I was thinking that he could just the the GX2 when he was ready for a DX10 card. The X1900XT is a good choice.

so many possibilities 0_o dont know which build to pick haha lol I could go with a E6400 system with a max'd out video card[ 7950GX2 7900GTX] OR an E6600 with a X1900XT OR an AMD X2 4600+ Build. Final thoughts guys?

- thanks for all the help everyone!

ewww the asus vento looks pretty bitch. i would get something else.

My friend used to have the red Vento, and it's insanely huge. Personally, I dont like how it looks either, but it's a matter of personal opinion.

p180 is ugly :p im prolly gonna pickup any case though

I find the P180B to look very nice, but I also like Lian-Li cases. I hate ones that are covered in stupid plastic designs and have lights everywhere...

One of the plastic ones I do like however, is the Thermaltake Swing.

the 7950GX2 isn't really worth the money imo.the X1900XTX or X1950XTX woulda been a better choice,atleast i think so.
