Can Someone please make me a build for about $2000, I dont need a PSU or Case (have antec treo 650watt and antec P180 case). It will be used for gaming /multitasking. Any help will help, I want to order this computer this week (I know that there is a price cut comming at the end on july but im kind of in a rush). Thanks

qx6800
8800gtx
2gb ddr800
still have room for any mobo of choice :) still under 2000.
You cant do that for $2000. Maybe with an 8800GTS 320MB, cheap HD, cheap case, and cheap PSU, but not if you want a great system overall.

I would build something similar to mine, except get an E6600, and upgrade to an 8800GTX.

he said he didnt need case and psu :) thats why i didnt suggest 2 gtx
lol, shows what happens when I just read the title :p

I guess that build is possible, but still, the QX6700 eats up half your budget, then add in a GTX and you only have $475 for a hard drive, RAM, sound card, motherboard, accessories, and if he needs a monitor, keyboard, mouse, OS, that all adds up :)

Q6600 - 560ish
2 GB of corsair XMS2 DDR2-800 - $110
8800GTX - $650
EVGA 680i SLI -$230
320 GB hardrive - $75
Total: 1600ish
Good build, but here are some more accurate prices:

XMS RAM - $120
8800GTX - $550
eVGA 680i - $140
320GB HD - $80

But if you read the reviews, I believe those are so cheap because there was a design flaw with them, and how they dont support quad-cores very well.

Then why is it being paired with a q6600?

I had something like this in mind...
Q6600-$540
2gigs DDR1066-$200
8800GTS 640 (i only have a 19inch monitor so the gtx might be overkill)-$400
680i motherbord $260
cooling fan-$60
DvD burner $40
Harddrive-$100
wirless card-(not too sure about price)\
windows vista 64bit-$200
this is about $1800 plus tax and shipping, so it should be around $2000

what do you guys think?

You'll be sorry, since by july 22 you could get the QX6700 for the same price
