aaron said:you mean by OC it, wow! so if i have a 3.4ghz, it can go up to 4ghz, right? well, i think i'l start with the basic....building my PC, i already have a choice of MOBO(P4C800E DELUXE) and now im hunting for a good CPU. thanks![]()
Well he is looking for a 3.4 Northwood ... and Northwoods are 'C'.... so yea, 3.4CWhat is it? 3.4C?
They are just hard to findave any idea where i can get one, they say that this is hard to find, and i think its true or im just looking at the wrong place
Granted the lower 'C's have better OCs, theres not a chance most 2.6s are gonna hit 4Ghz. 3.4Cs can 4Ghz pretty easily [relatively]lol...slowdown. to hit 4GHz u need some serious cooling, and a pretty good mobo/RAM. the 3.4C's don't overclock as easily as the lower 2.6C's do in comparison. I've seen 4GHz...but it took more than water and some mods.

Exactly. The trouble of finding one and paying the extra $ for 200 MHz isn't worth it. You probably wouldn't be able to tell the difference anyway. On a side note, I feel really special since I'm running P4 3.4CI would get the 3.2C:
