hey guys i currently have 2gb of ram on my computer i want to add more ram but i was told that i can't add more unless i have a 64 bit... so how do i change from 32 bit to 64 bit....
plzz help me out

yeah, if you have 4GB, your computer will utilize 3.35ish of it, which I would assume has almost the same performance as 4GB.

buy a 64 bit operating system, with 32 bit you could get up to 3.5 GB recognized and it would be well worth the upgrade, with 64 bit you could upgrade to as much as 8 GB of memory.

With 64 bit it's up to 128GB of memory

You will also need a processor to run 64-bit operating systems. On Intel that feature is called EM64T and on AMDs it's AMD64. You can check with CPUz if you have that feature, or just tell us your model and we may be able to tell if it supports 64-bit.
If you purchased your PC about 1 year ago or later, it is very likely to have this feature, as starting with Intel P4 most processors do have EM64T (don't know about AMDs)

True, theoretical figure only, should have added that limits are imposed by software and hardware.
