not quite true, there is a difference, a 280x at 850 will out perform the 7970 at 925 on the core.
it also has a higher bandwidth

The higher memory clock is the majority of the reason that the 280x outperforms the 7970. A 280x and 7970 at the same core/memory clocks would be pretty much identical in performance.

true, its the same what NVidia did, but lets see what mantle brings.

Companies do this all the time. They will make minor improvements to their current technology and call it brand new and no one is the wiser and they make double the profit!

EA has been doing this for years :D

so after a small overclock I run it again, with my msi r7970 oc be.
its not the max on the card, and I am still on 4.5 for the cpu.

yes again a different videocard.
this time its a msi gtx 770 gaming
I do this test so that people with a fx 8120 can see what this card can do.
first let me say this is not the max on my card, and maybe not the max on the cpu, but with my cooler its good enough, its complete stable.
