Dont mean to go off-topic here, but why did you get 3GB? If you have 2x or 4x RAM sticks, then you can have dual-channel.philip_r5 said:4 gigs is major.... You will never use all that unless you are doing video editing and stuff like that. I currently have 3 and I never use over 2!!!!![]()
Torrent downloads hardly use any system memory. The most i've seen it use was around 70MB, and that was with Azureus. Most other torrents apps dont even got above 30mb.natman said:yea, well i just wanna be able to run some torrent downloads and at the same time play battlefield 2 online.
any ram is overclockable. Since its corsair, it should say right on the sticks in big letters.natman said:some overclocking dual channel
Mostly they are, but there are also some that are perfectly legal.fade2green514 said:torrent downloads are illegal in most cases.
also, you wont be able to download and do online gaming all at once... youd need a T1 connection, or even a T3 in order to get enough bandwidth. cable internet just wont cut it.
btw you can do all of that with 1gb of memory fairly easily. even 2gb you can get top quality graphics + burn a dvd + download at the same time.
