They are all compatible. just remember if you want to buy another 4870 1gb later on your PSU will need 4x 6pin PCI-E connections (2 for each card), and a lot of amps on the +12v rail (66 at minimum, as optical drives, HDD's and fans all use the +12v rail. HDD's consume about 1 amp each, optical drives around 2 amps each, fans consume less than 1 amp, and graphcis cards can eat up to 30 amps) and decent wattage. 600 watts for a system with 1 card is plenty, but for 2 cards you will want about 800 watts. I recommend the Corsair TX850 for a corssfire/sli setup:

It is worth every cent.

CrossFireX differences?

Hi i am planning to order my parts real soon, like in several hours.

Wil this Mobo limit my crossfire in the future.
1. it does not say crossfire ready
2. yes, it does have 2 pci-e 20x 16 but what does it mean when the second one is x4. What does this mean for going crossfire in comparison to those 16x16 or x8

Mobo:

GPU:

Can someone please reply soon This is urgent thank you very much!!!

101381 you have to many threads going about the same thing, stick to one thread. The Asus M4A785TD-V EVO is not a CrossfireX board.

What am I missing here. I clicked the product link to the MOBO the OP wants and found this

Is Hybrid crossfire not the same as crossfire?

Hybird CrossfireX and CrossfireX is not the same thing.

Its not a CrossfireX board. Its a Hybird CrossfirsX board meant to use the onbard with a certain video cards.

http://www.trustedreviews.com/mother...785TD-V-EVO/p1

For starters there are the dual graphics PCI Express slots except they're not, not really. 780G/785G supports 22 lanes of PCI Express for expansion cards with 16 lanes reserved for the graphics slot so the second long PCI Express slot you see in the pictures only gets four lanes. Quite simply, there is no prospect of CrossFireX on offer with 785G.

If you want a CrossfireX board you need a 790X/790GX or 790FX chipset board.

Sorry for the mutiple threads, just that it was in such a hurry for answers.
But this is my final product, ALL already paid for just waiting for it to be shiped =]

*FS (free shipping)

Mobo+CPU combo
Asus 790GX *fs $130
Phenon II 925 *fs $139
- 20$ combo + $15 rebate

GPU:
HIS HD 4870 1gb 256-bit GDDR5 *fs $154

Memory Oh yea do i need to Overclock my Mobo to work with the memory, it says 1600(o.c):
Adata 2x2gb DDR3 1600 *fs $70

HardDrive:
Western Digital 650gb 7200rpm 3.0sata *fs 50$

Case (i know this wasn't recommended but i like the appearance, and its cheap):
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811156078 70$ *fs, $30 MIR

TOTAL ~=~ $650 tax include + 45$ rebate

PSU:
Since i am not going dual yet, i don't think there is a need for 700wat psu so i am thinking of using my old one from my old computer. Its coolermaster 500w.
I also bought this PSU at Frys for 35$ 15$MIR = $20
CoolMax V600 600watts
Im thinking of returning this, or should i use this over my older psu? its maybe year 1/2 to 2 years old.

I might decide on a TV tuner, internal dvd/cd drive if SUPER cheap, maybe mini parts here and there in future.(maybe not i have an external dvd/cd)

How does everything look? Any suggestions or comments?
Hope all parts are a perfect fit.
Once again thank you everyone for helping me out. It was a pain with the parts but worth it compared to buying prebuilt. Got my money and knowledge's worth.

For the memory, you just need to set the Voltage/timing and speed in the bios for 1600. It will default to 1333 on boot.

You did know the memory and harddrive is out of stock.

I would just try using the Cooler Master. A Coolmax is pretty lowend.

yea i purchased the memory and HD a week ago when it was in stock. So what happens when i put all my parts together, i turn it on and goes to a screen just like when you are rebooting your pc right. I never seen a pc turned on before anything was install.

On a Gigabyte you put your OS CD/DVD in the drive and when you boot at the bottom of the screen it will say press any key to boot to the CD/DVD or start pressing F12 for the boot order screen and the install will start. If not you just set your CD/DVD drive 1st. in your boot order in the bios
