Just surfing through Newegg's Black Friday sales flyer - and they have some 4GB G-Skill DDR3 1600 Ripsaw RAM for 79.99. The site is kindof slow - Me thinks lots of Black Friday traffic is bogging the site down a bit. It says designed for core i5 & i7 cpu. But I think it could work with the AMD Phenom II as well ( others chime in if I'm wrong here )

COD4 isnt the most demanding game in the world, 4650 and higher should run it pretty much maxxed.

Newegg isnt working for me at the moment....

But yes, 99.99% of the time you should get the power supply separate from the case(Xclio goodpower 500W is one of the best budget power supplies out there)

That motherboard+CPU is a great deal with the combo savings, go for it.

If you plan on going crossfire in the future, go for a higher end power supply such as a 700W OCZ, or 650W corsair.

Again, that raidmax case is a total piece of garbage, steer far away from it and also the power supply it includes. A good cheap(er) case is the Coolermaster Elite 310 as well as the Coolermaster 690.

Third, that GPU is a waste of money. The 9600gt is lower end than the 9600GSO, and at that point i would spend the extra for a 4850. Also, that motherboard only supports crossfire, not SLI. With that said, i would recommend getting a single good gpu vs two cheap gpu's.

Just did some research, the 4850 is wayyy beter than the 9600. But most importantly, so the Mobo i choose will work with Nevida GPU but not SLI if i decide to dual GPU in future right?

Another question. Since the ram i bought was 1600 of course the standard for mobo needs to support it. The one i have says 1600(o.c) (what does O.C) mean? is it better than this one http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.295699 which standard is 1800(o.c)/1600. (TY Jamin for recommending) Does the o.c matter in utilizing the ram more efficiently. Once again any reommendatinos on these two items?

I found a HIS Radeon HD4850( i think bit higher) 1g GDDR5 256bit for like 170 + 20$ rebate. I would love to get it but its outa stock :( If someone happens to come across something like that which is such a great deal, please leave a link i would appreciate it.

I just bought a Harddrive:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16822136319&Tpk=22-136-319

i found the GPU i wanted, but it turned out to be out of stock again. HSI Radeon HD 4850 1gb 256-bit GDDR3: http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814161245

So i might decide to get this one since it is cheap.
Its a Nvidia 9800 1Gb 256-bit GDDR3:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133304
I think its worth it, HD4850 and GTS250 arn't too far of a difference.

But Bomberboysk metioned my Mobo+CPU package does not support SLI, how about Nivida GPUs?, i was wondering where in the specs do i find these info?
Thank you

A single Nvidia GPU will work just fine...2 x Nvidia GPUs together will not work;)

Great choice on the hard drive...you will not be disappointed:D

****EDIT****

I have read through the entire thread but I am having a hard time keeping track of what you already have bought. Can you edit the first post and list everything you already have and what you still need? That would help us alot:D

Too much money for that 9800gt IMO, id go for one of these cards:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814150337
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16814133266

Not really any need to go with a 1gb frame buffer unless your running resoloutions above 1920x1200.

So i just made an update as Scout asked, hope it makes things easier read.

Mobo + CPU:
AMD Phenon II X4 Black Edition+ Asus Mobo $120
AMD Phenon II X4 + Asus Mobo $130

PSU:
Xclio Goodspeed 500w

Case: (Still Browsing)
Comment //: Yea i know they are steel cases compared to the plastic one, but it looks nice :).
The case for now..
This was the one i wanted but case alone waste of money, the PSU cannot be trusted >.<

GPU: (Still Browsing)
Comment //: Im thinking of getting GTS250, about 30$ cheaper, can match up to 4850. (if SLI problem with Mobo is resolved)
XFX Radeon HD4859 512mb 256-bit 120$
HIS Radeon HD4850 512mb 256-bit 125$

Nvidia GTS250 1G 256-bit 90$ (Cheap and it can match up to the HD4850 but Mobo SLI-compatibility Issue....

HardDrive (Bought, Its a great deal thanks to Jamin for recommending)
Western Digital 640 Gb Sata 3.0G 7200rpm 50$

Memory (Bought, Shell Shocker Deal)
Adata 4gb (2x 2gb) DDR3 1600

Question// 1. Knowing the second combo does not support SLI what about the first one? (i think im geting the 120$ one, both of them barely have any differences)
Question// 2. Does O.C matter in the standard in Mobo for ram. I know the non blk edition Mobo+CPU is standard 1600(O.C) and the other one is standard 1800(O.C)/1600/etc. but still supports 1600(which is the ram i bought). Does this O.C affect its effectiveness?

Comment//: I know there is Monday's Sale online for newegg, i've never done shoping at newegg until recently (Best place for PC) The Prices are already great but i hope some parts don't go out of stock like several GPU i had my eyes on. Anyways do you think i should wait?

Thank You everyone.

For the GTS250, dont count on getting the money from the rebate, chances are pretty good you wont get it actually.

Of those two combos, go for this one:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/ComboDealDetails.aspx?ItemList=Combo.295699

The one with the 790GX chipset is sorta a waste, same chipset pretty much except the other has integrated graphics(which you wont be using anyways)

No AM3 motherboards support SLI, and since you bought DDR3 memory you have to go AM3.

These are a couple of decent cases:
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119203 (Not the best, but decent budget case)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811119137 (One of my personal favorites)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811815001 (Again, one of my favorite cases in the price range)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811112238 (Excellent case)
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.aspx?Item=N82E16811103010 (Great case, good airflow, free shipping, and on sale)

And if you want to be able to crossfire, youll need more than a budget power supply, both have great prices---if you get the rebate back: The OCZ has a larger +12v rail, and for the price i would get it over the corsair:

Yea, im sorry bomberboysk, the cases you choose don't seem to fit my likings but i appreciate you taking your time, really.

I...c..if these mobo support CF only then CF it is. Lets hope cyber monday has good deals coming up.

Ok, i see so i have decided, for now. I think this is truely a final decision untill cyber monday and im ordering. GPU i'll get the HIS 512 256-Bit HD4850 for 125$. I think this is a good deal. And im getting the Mobo+CPU, The blackedition + Asus evo mobo. You think i should place the order now? Mobo n CPU don't sell out right lol? As for the PSU, i'll Might strip my old one cause its 500watts coolmaster, it was prob like 10$ after 30$ mail in rebate 2 years ago. Use it for now until i need to go CF.

Hope everyone had a Happy Thanks Giving n Good Blk Fridays

Coolmaster or coolermaster? Coolmaster is a chinese off brand, however coolermaster makes semi decent units.

Again, if you want to crossfire, more than a lower end 500W will be required.

MSI makes AM3 750/980a SLI boards. But the 980 is only a 5 phase power setup, not for sure what the 750 is.

Why not,

I got all my rebates from my build. Make sure you copy all your paperwork - and check all the details before you send them in. Most rebates are easier to track these days than in past years - b/c they are pre-submitted online and trackable.

I put a spreadsheet on my PC to track what was in what process - and kept an expected date to know if I needed to track em. May take 2+ months to receive money - but unless the company is going under - I expect to get all my rebates or I'm contacting Newegg to get their help.

Rebates are unreliable, for instance with tigerdirect i dont know of anyone that has gotten a rebate back from their rebate system. With newegg, its about a 50/50 chance of getting a rebate back, and if the rebate is through the manufacturer, alot of times that has even lower success rate. They will word instructions tricky so that people mess up, and if you mess up one part they will disqualify rebates, etc.

That I'll give ya, and the tiger direct thing - is something I was aware of. I wouldn't expect a rebate from them. Newegg and Zipzoomfly, I've gotten my rebates though and expect to in the future if I have them again.

Definitely a hassle that might not be worth the time to some though.

My CPU + Mobo Deal, i lost it =/,
Ok i know how to look at mobo's so i buy the right one, just one question
Since i bought a DDR3 1600 ram, i obviously need it to be the right fitting mobo. It's standard on specs has to say DDR3 but what if it is
1. ex. under 1600 (does not include /1600)but ddr3 -DDR3 1333
2. ex. over 1600 (does not include /1600)but ddr3 - DDR3 1800

Thank you
