OK, I just got this card
http://www.newegg.com/Product/Product.asp?Item=N82E16814122018
and well, Its good and all, but many games will not work. Only the full game I have (F.E.A.R. .....Well, I only tested that as my official full game I own) but any demo will not work....It just goes black screen, freezes up, takes a long time to get out of it, sometimes crashes, etc. what could be wrong? I got the latest drivers! No unexpected shut downs.

No OC. XP Home, Yes I installed the old drivers. Games like Call of duty 2, Battlefield series. Could It be a I need a better power supply???

Do you mean you uninstalled the old drivers?

And yes what PSU do you have now?

Sorry to check the obvious hear but have you got the PCI-e 6-pin power plug connected to the card...?

Try some benchmarking apps on your graphics card. Run it through 3DMark06 a couple times and see how it fares up

Yeah I got the 6 pin in here. I tried running the 3Dmark06 but would not let me. Some error came up saying something about couldnt use the drivers er something...I have the latest drivers and I uninsulated the old ones from my last card...Whats going on here???

if your graphics card works in 2d then there is no reason why it can't work in 3D, so its not a hardware problem, it has to be software. Basically some component is giving another the cold shoulder, I suggest you do a clean install of windows and then install the drivers from scratch and see how it goes. Its a very time consuming process.

Oh, I forgot to add, when installing drivers, it says "Warning! This (something) is not approved for windows XP OS! May be functionally impaired!" Or something like that. The thing is, I downloaded the XP drivers and use the XP driver from the disk I got. I have a feeling its that. I dont know why I didn't think of saying that earlier...But then why does it say that when I try to install the XP drivers???

OMG.......That card is card is supposed to run DX10 on Vista. That is why it is giving you that error msg. It is saying functionally impaired because it can't run DX10 on XP

....................................WTF?! IT SAYS XP DRIVERS!!!!! So what, your saying it can only run DX10 and not DX9? That's poop nuggets!!!!

OH, and I can flash the cards BIOS....Do I want to do that and where do I get the newest one??? It says it cant read my BIOS on the card, could that be the problem? and if so, where in the world do I get the newest one?

if u want to try to flash go to google and type in ur card and look for a new bios, but personaly id redo windows it takes around 20-30 min to install unless, u use nlite to get rid of half the stuff u dont need, and make it automated so u dont have to type ne thing, and then u figure another 30-60 min to install all ur other drivers, and programs..
