The_Other_One said:Not a bad card, but certainlly not top of the line for gamming. Nvidia never made a 7800 AGP yet, right? So 6800s are probably the best AGP right now?
Ku-sama said:i was talking about PCI 1x, the little PCI slotswhich is after AGP 1x, and i did forget about 2x and 4x
also 6800 Ultra would be the best AGP, but id suggest getting a 6200
You also left out CNR and AMR.Ku-sama said:ISA < ESIA < MCI < VESA < Integrated < PCI < PCI 64 bit < AGP 1x < PCI 1x < AGP 2x < AGP 4x < AGP 8x < AGP 8x PRO < PCI Express 8x < PCI Express 16x < Crossfire < SLI < My Computer![]()
AGP 2x, 4x, 8x, and 8x pro are all AGP. same with the PCI and PCI-E.Ku-sama said:ISA < ESIA < MCI < VESA < Integrated < PCI < PCI 64 bit < AGP 1x < PCI 1x < AGP 2x < AGP 4x < AGP 8x < AGP 8x PRO < PCI Express 8x < PCI Express 16x < Crossfire < SLI < My Computer![]()
CNR and AMR are not video ports. They are usually used for modem's and sound cards.You also left out CNR and AMR.![]()
VL, which was a weird sort of slot.There's also a few small connections(I forgot their name but for modems and such) and you also forgot PCIe 1x, 2x, and 4x!
EISA and MCA (not MCI, MCI was a phone company), also you missed 16-bit ISA (EISA != 16-bit ISA)ISA < ESIA < MCI < VESA < Integrated < PCI < PCI 64 bit < AGP 1x < PCI 1x < AGP 2x < AGP 4x < AGP 8x < AGP 8x PRO < PCI Express 8x < PCI Express 16x < Crossfire < SLI < My Computer
For gaming cards, AGP cards are, without loss to generality, better. PCI cards however provide significantly increased value in combo cards as you have more flexibility when upgrading.What are the pros and cons of each. Also i would like suggestions for a video card in the 50 to 100 dollar range. It needs to have either 2 dvi outputs or 1 dvi and 1 vga output thank you.
Not always and not if you consider serious machines where PCI has [up to] twice the bandwdith of AGP.The pros for AGP are that its faster
Missed a semicolon.You did mean PCI and not PCI express, right? PCI < AGP < PCIe 16x
Syntax errror, expecting semicolon.ISA < ESIA < MCI < VESA < Integrated < PCI < PCI 64 bit < AGP 1x < PCI 1x < AGP 2x < AGP 4x < AGP 8x < AGP 8x PRO < PCI Express 8x < PCI Express 16x < Crossfire < SLI < My Computer
You might wanna edit thatAGP 2x, 4x, 8x, and 8x pro are all AGP. same with the PCI and PCI-E.
i didnt mean that PCI and PCI-E are the same, but it kinda sounded like that. The basic 3 buses that are still widely used are PCI, AGP, and PCI Express (PCI-e)Praetor said:You might wanna edit that![]()
