Hello!
After about a days learning all about AMD 64's and their motherboards I thought I might aswell work towards building one. I'm not going to buy a top-of-the-range motherboard and CPU, but I want something that will last, and doesn't 'eat' up my money.
I'm not asking you about how much RAM I need or what Graphics Card I should use... All I'm asking is what you think to the CPU and the Motherboard being used in conjunction with one another. Idealy, it's going to be used for gaming, but I don't want extremely good quality becuase I know that it will cause me to spend shed loads of money - which I don't want. All I want is stable gaming performance
This is the system:
Gigabyte K8NF-9 nForce4 (Socket 939) PCI Express Motherboard
*Can anyone tell me how much better an nF4U would be rather than just an nF4?*
AMD Athlon 64 3000+ Winchester 90nm (Socket 939)
*I would choose perhaps a 3200+ or the 3500+ but purely because of my budget, I have to stick to that one.*
Do you think I should change anything?
Thank you.
