Generally, the Athlon II X3 would be the better choice, especially if you are multitasking.
hi mate thanks for reply >...... i no this sounds silly lol but how do you put you system specs on your name like when you reply etc???????
If you are referring to adding a signature, go to the top left of the blue toolbar above the advertisements, click where it says "User CP", and on the user CP page look over to the left for "Edit Signature".
depends on the game, many games these days are becoming far more multithreaded, and some games you pretty much need a quad to play effectively, let alone a triple or dual core. The AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.0GHz outperforms the Athlon II X3 2.3GHz in gaming because of the higher clock. And generally, the Athlon II's will save more energy and generate less heat. The Athlon II X2 255 is only $3 more and it has 3.1GHz clock speed.

Now if you want a good triple core, you can get this for only $7 more, but keep in mind it's gonna consume more energy, etc etc...

Really? That's a coincidence, because I was looking at this processor not too long ago...

What do you think about that processor?
The GA-MA770-DS3 does not support Athlon II/Phenom II CPU's, FYI.
