AMD II X2 250 3.0 GHZ or AMD II X3 2.3GHz???

hi im looking on upgrading my cpu im looking at either these to > AMD II X2 250 3.0 GHZ or AMD II X3 2.3GHz?can you tell me witch one i should go for?what ones better?thanks

hi mate thanks for reply >...... i no this sounds silly lol but how do you put you system specs on your name like when you reply etc???????

If you are referring to adding a signature, go to the top left of the blue toolbar above the advertisements, click where it says "User CP", and on the user CP page look over to the left for "Edit Signature".

The AMD Athlon II X2 250 3.0GHz outperforms the Athlon II X3 2.3GHz in gaming because of the higher clock. And generally, the Athlon II's will save more energy and generate less heat. The Athlon II X2 255 is only $3 more and it has 3.1GHz clock speed.

Now if you want a good triple core, you can get this for only $7 more, but keep in mind it's gonna consume more energy, etc etc...

depends on the game, many games these days are becoming far more multithreaded, and some games you pretty much need a quad to play effectively, let alone a triple or dual core.
